I lead operations transformation inside large organisations and build the digital and AI products that make it stick. Twelve years doing this at Kmart Group and WorkSafe Victoria; twenty years across retail, insurance, telecommunications and consumer goods. Working across Melbourne, Sydney and Hong Kong.
Now
Director, Digital Solutions Consulting at Weave, the supply chain and sourcing consultancy of TAL Group, one of the world's largest apparel manufacturers. Working with global apparel brands on AI-enabled supply chain and sourcing solutions.
The question I keep coming back to is the same one I had on the store floor: what actually helps people do better work tomorrow. Most of the AI that clears that bar is unglamorous, and most of it is operations.
Some of the work I’ve been leading in the last 12 months:
AI tools that act like a smart teammate for store staff
Computer vision to see stock, gaps, and product location without manual checks
Digitised store tasks that remove admin and free people to serve customers
My focus is turning complex tech into clear, usable systems that fit the way teams really work.
Selected Outcomes
Accountable for Kmart Group's annual innovation benefits target of $45m to $60m in trial-validated EBIT, from a $5m budget. Close to $70m in peak years.
RFID deployed to 249 Kmart stores in three months, 42% above the sales target, then extended into general merchandise as a world first. Around $400m in attributed sales.
Digitised store replenishment ($34m EBIT per annum) and back-office tasks ($12m EBIT per annum) in a single twelve-month cycle.
The first AI assistant for Kmart's 44,000 team members, from concept through build and initial rollout. Computer vision and robotics introduced into store operations.
At WorkSafe Victoria, built the first innovation function from zero to 28 people, then led five divisions and more than 190 people as Executive Director, Insights and Innovation.
